VDMA India on association with GIZ India organized and Indo German Workshop on Standardization & Conformity Assessment  on 18th June (Tuesday) 2019 in New Delhi.

The workshop focussed on the following points:-

Industry perspective on future standards & conformity assessment procedures.

How industry can contribute to standards to enhance product safety, machine safety.

Role of technical standards in regulations.

The Welcome address was given by Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India. The Presentation on GIZ: “Introducing the Indo-German Standardisation Dialogue” was given by Mr. Alok Kesari, Senior Technical Advisor, Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI) – India. This was followed by a Special address by Dr.R.K.Bajaj, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The Presentation on “Contribution of Technical Standardisation in the European Legislation Framework” was given by Mrs. Naemi Denz, Board Member at VDMA, Technical and Environmental Affairs and Sustainability. The Presentation on “Future-Ready Standardisation & Conformity Assessment” was given by Mr. Manoj Belgaonkar, Head Quality & Project Management, Siemens Ltd.

This was followed by a Panel Discussion on “Industry as Partner for Implementation of the Standards Road Map in India” moderated by Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India
