VDMA: New concept consolidates Hannover Messe's claim to leadership as the world's leading trade fair for the industry

VDMA supports the new concept of Deutsche Messe AG as conceptual sponsor of Hannover Messe - Focus on industry transformation - More attractiveness and networking for exhibitors and visitors

As the conceptual sponsor of Hannover Messe, the VDMA supports Deutsche Messe AG's new concept for the further development of the world's most important industrial trade fair. The Hannover Messe is the world's No. 1 industrial trade fair - this position needs to be further strengthened and the function of the Hannover Messe as a platform for dialogue between companies, politics, the media and above all users further developed," says Thilo Brodtmann, Managing Director of the VDMA.

Focus on the transformation of industry The new concept focuses on the transformation of industry as a multifaceted spectrum of topics: from industry 4.0 and AI to energy system transformation and the working world of the future. Drivers for this are digitization, individualization and autonomization as well as decarbonization.Under the motto "Industrial Transformation", the
Hannover Messe will pick up on the changes in industry and give the world's best stage for the central importance of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology as solution providers," emphasises Hartmut Rauen, Deputy Managing Director of the VDMA.

New exhibition areas for more attractiveness New exhibition
areas allow strict visitor orientation along value chains and technology themes as well as better placement of exhibition highlights. This increases the attractiveness of the fair for exhibitors and visitors.

"The Hannover Messe is the world's number one industrial trade fair - this position must be further strengthened and the function of the Hannover Messe as a platform for dialogue between companies, politics, the media and, above all, users must be further developed.

"It is crucial for the VDMA that the Hannover Messe continues to be an attractive showroom for our member companies in the future and "the place to be" for the presentation of their technologies. The new trade fair concept offers plenty of potential for this. That's why it makes sense to think in terms of topics with coherent cross-references for the trade fair," explains Brodtmann.

The Hannover Messe also has a new
concept for the Future Lab exhibition area: get out of the silos! This is where research and science, start-ups and international idea networks come together. The aim is to further develop the Hannover Messe into a platform for the latest technology trends and to broaden the view beyond the horizon: "The fair is
more than just exhibiting products! It is about inspiration, exchange of ideas and networking. This brings added value for exhibitors and the public, and that's what matters," emphasises Rauen. It's fitting
that the Hannover Messe is increasingly providing the setting for specialist congresses and industry meetings - this year, for example, the Industrial Pioneers Summit and the first World Interoperability Conference on the subject of OPC-UA.

The tried and tested remains and becomes an even more permanent
component of the Hannover Messe and remains an annually changing partner country. The fair thus underlines its international character and offers exciting insights into markets worldwide and their players. The same applies to the top-class opening of the Hannover Messe, which is traditionally attended by top politicians from Germany and Europe as well as personalities from business, science and the international press.
"In addition, the VDMA and Deutsche Messe AG will continue to invite visitors to the traditional European Political Reception at the Hannover Messe on the first day of the fair. For our members and guests we are thus presenting a top format for bringing political and industry representatives into dialogue - because the Hannover Messe is a communication platform par excellence," says Brodtmann.
