5th Asia Off – Highway Vehicle Summit
The 5th Asia Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2018 was organised by Duxes, China from 21st to 22nd June 2018 at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Singapore.
Mr. Rajesh Nath - Managing Director of VDMA India gave the keynote address on Development of Infrastructure and Construction Equipment Market in India. Further he also chaired the Summit on Day 1 and participated in the Panel Discussion on “Is Hybrid- Electric Drivetrain a solution for Off-Highway Vehicles”. The Summit covered the Infrastructure and Agriculture Development mainly in India, China and South East Asia. There were around 15 reputed speakers from 6 countries. The event was attended by more than 70 people from around 8 countries.
The Construction and Agriculture Machinery market is developing well in Asia. Whereas the construction equipment industry is targeting around 8% to 10% growth with India and China being the growth drivers.
The agriculture mechanisation is not very high in Asia ranging from 18% to 30%. The land holding is the main reason for the low level of mechanisation.
For global equipment manufacturing, India and China offer good growth potential in the near future.
