The German Machinery and Plant Manufacturers Association (VDMA) has established an office in India which acts as a bridge-head between the German and Indian Industry and shares expertise and experience with its member companies from different industrial sectors.

At its ordinary meeting, the Main Board of the VDMA elected Henrik Schunk (on the left, next to VDMA President Carl Martin Welcker and VDMA Vice President Karl Haeusgen), a family entrepreneur, as Vice President of the association.

German Engineering Federation ( VDMA) organized a "Country session - Germany on 19th January 2019 under the theme "GERMANY & GUJARAT - PARTNERS IN GROWTH". The session focussed on the policy regime in the state, sector outlook in engineering, emerging investment opportunities, presentation and panel discussion.

After the recent visit of Mr. Patrick Schwarzkopf, Managing Director, VDMA Robotic + Automation to India for the VDMA Robotics + Automation Management meeting for the first time in September 2017 and subsequent member interactions, there was a need for creating a platform for the VDMA Robotic + Automation member companies in India to reach out to the end user with VDMA supported platforms and events.
