Agricultural Machinery Association
The VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association serves as a lobbyist, service provider and information broker for the manufacturers of agricultural machinery. It gives information about current market developments or aspects concerning market access, for instance. VDMA’s core competence is to create networks, to make and maintain contacts and to earmark the industry’s image.
The Cleaning Systems Association within the German Engineering Federation VDMA consists of 40 members, mainly manufacturers of floorcare machines and high-pressure cleaners for commercial and industrial application. They represent approximately 90% of the German market volume.
Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery
We represent 300 companies which supply machines for the construction, building material, ceramics and glass industry. We are spokesman of the industry, its service and information provider and offer a local network for our companies in India. Some twenty German manufacturers of our industry already produce locally in India. Man others are represented by dealers.
Fluid Power - hydraulics and pneumatics
Fluid power is German cutting-edge technology characterized by reliability, sustainability and energy efficiency. Low investment costs and lifecycle costs lead to high economic viability. This is why fluid power "made in Germany" is a top export hit.
Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association
The Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association is one of the 39 industry-specific associations within VDMA. With nearly 300 member companies it is one of the largest – and under the aspect of the diversity of the machinery products – one of the heterogeneous associations.
German process technology machinery and apparatus
The Process Plant and Equipment Association currently comprises 270 member companies. The member companies are predominantly manufacturers of process technology systems and components.
Machine Tools and Manufacturing Systems
Just under 280 members or about 10 per cent of the companies in the VDMA or voluntarily organised within this Sector Association. These companies represent 90 per cent of the total turnover on the sector and about 80 per cent of all machine tool builders.
The Mining Equipment Association within VDMA consists of 135 manufacturers who offers equipment for mining nearly every raw material in every manner. The mainly medium-sized members of VDMA mining equipment represent approximately 90 % of the entire trade volume.
Plastics and Rubber Machinery
German plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers are the most important high-tech suppliers to the Indian Market since many years. These close relations are reflected in the activities of the plastics and rubber machinery association in and for India.
Power Transmission Engineering
The Power Transmission Engineering Association represents the interests of the largest group of suppliers to the mechanical engineering industry. This association informs its members in a way relevant to their needs about all topics relating to power transmission technology and other areas of mechanical engineering.
Robotics + Automation
VDMA Robotics + Automation is one of 39 sub-sectors within VDMA and unites more than 240 members: companies providing components and systems from the areas of robotics, integrated assembly solutions (formerly assembly and handling technology) and machine vision.
Textile Machinery Association
About 130 of the most important manufacturers of textile machinery and accessories from all sectors of the trade are affiliated within the VDMA Textile Machinery Association. The largest parts of the companies are medium-sized firms and stand for approximately 90 per cent of the entire sector volume. In 2015, the branch produced textile machinery worth about 3.1 billion euros.
VDMA Metallurgy is the joint platform of metallurgical machinery producers. It includes the specialist associations Foundry Machinery, Metallurgical Plants and Rolling Mills, and Thermo Process Technology.
