Seminars on “Increasing Efficiency in the automotive sector through material testing”

The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) in association with Zwick Roell, as part of their flagship event “Asian Forum for Materials Testing”, organized 2 Seminars on “Increasing Efficiency in the automotive sector through material testing” on 21st February, 2019 (Thursday) in Pune and 22nd February, 2019 (Friday) in Gurgaon.

 

The event focussed on the latest trends and innovations from the world of component and materials testing and challenges primarily in the automotive and also other engineering industries. Customers, partners and experts in research and development, as well as in materials testing and quality assurance, were invited to share their knowledge and findings in the field of material testing with Indian and International speakers.

 

In Pune, the Welcome address was given by Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India. The Special address was given by Mr. Ashim Sharma, National Sales Manager, ZwickRoell Pvt Ltd. The Address by Chief Guest on “Widening Horizons of Automotive Testing” was given by Mr. Vijay A. Pankhawala, Deputy Director, Business Development & Corporate Planning (BDCP), ARAI. The Presentation on “Testing challenges in Automotive industry with focus on E-Mobility” was given by Mr. Aleksander Koprivc, Industry Manager, Automotive and Managing Director, ZwickRoell in France and Spain. The Presentation on “An overview of Electro mobility market in India” was given by Mr. Chetan Ligade, Director – Projects, BDB India Private Limited. The Presentation on “Hardness testing - how to achieve testing flexibility, compliance and accreditation at an affordable price” was given by Mr. John Piller, Managing Director, Indentec Hardness Testing Machines Limited, UK and a member of ISO/TC 164/SC 3 – Hardness testing.

 

This was followed by a Panel discussion on “Sustainable Mobility – way forward” moderated by Mr. Rajesh Nath, Managing Director, VDMA India. The following were the esteemed panellists:-

Address by Guest of Honour on “The Five Success Factors of Indo-German Relations” was given by Dr.(Ms) Renate Schimkoreit, Minister- Head of Department for Economics and Global Affairs German Embassy, New Delhi. The Presentation by Chief Guest on “The future of Automotive industry in India” was given by Mr. B. B. Gupta, President Business Head-Auto Components  JBM Group. The Presentation on Presentation on “Testing challenges in Automotive industry with focus on E-Mobility” was given by Mr. Aleksander Koprivc – Industry Manager, Automotive and Managing Director of ZwickRoell in France and Spain.
